Now that I’ve familiarized you with most of the basics concepts of training for hypertrophy, it’s time to realize what actually builds muscle.
What actually build muscle?
Training a muscle for it’s function under mechanical load and tension till muscular failure gives a stimulus for growth.
The protein and calories we consume is used to synthesize muscle, aided with with good sleep and recovery.
Essentially, we are breaking down the muscle fibres when we work out, and building it back when we eat and sleep, to slightly bigger size than before.
This repeated again and again over a period of months/years is what gives significant visible change in one’s physique.
